We wanted to make it as easy as possible for you to enjoy the benefits of virtual running, so the app does exactly that. It lets you find and buy a wide range of races with just a few taps. You can submit your times and view your results, and see your well-earned custom medals. Download for FREE from the App Store and Google Play.
You can still run wherever and whenever you like – whether it’s for a good cause, as part of a competition or just for fun. It’s that simple! And it’s totally free. You can also import your activities direct from Strava to submit your proof.
To help you get up and running (pun intended!), here’s a quick overview of everything you need to know.
How to download the app
Search for Virtual Runner UK in the App Store and Google Play.
How to log in
Once your download is complete, you’ll need to log in to your account. You can do this via email or Facebook. If you don’t have an account already, you can sign up for one. Alternatively, sign up on the website.
How to find races
There are a few ways to find the right race for you. Tap Discover to see all of the trending races, or tap Find races to view all available races. You can filter by date and race type.
How to buy a race
When you’ve found a race you’d like to purchase, simply tap the button to add it to your basket. It’s a quick and easy checkout process, and you can pay by either credit/debit card or Paypal. Just like on the website, race prices range from £5 to £15.
How to view your races
Tap the red button in the bottom centre of your screen to view all of your races. You’ll be able to see your race history, as well as any upcoming races you have scheduled in.
Submit your proof
Once you have completed your challenge you can either manually upload your proof e.g. a photo of your watch showing the activity or, if you have a Strava account, why not link the two apps and import the data automatically. Job done!
How to view your results
Simply tap ‘See results’ for a full list of all race times.
